After 11 CDs and over 300 tunes, it's a little difficult to keep topping yourself. But we try. For this, our 11th
session, we have assembled the usual members of this
organization and have added a couple of new twists. Talented
guitarist, Paul Scavada, has joined us in the rhythm
section and Terry Myers has added to his already amazing
versatility by playing baritone saxophone on several
of the 10 member Matty Matlock charts. The main block
of arrangements we received from the Matlock family some
years ago were written for a 10 member band. We have,
for the most part, concentrated on the arrangements that
could be performed with our 8 piece group. It is very
appropriate that on this, our 10th recording, we should
again add the two extra pieces and do more of these great
arrangements that require the full ensemble. Good listening! BILL
